Just Add Wine

There’s nothing quite like getting loved ones together and celebrating an occasion with food and wine. I’ll admit to having a weak spot for entertaining, however a personal favourite of mine is picnicking! Food tastes better with a heavenly view don’t you think? I’ll find any excuse to pack a picnic and escape into the hills to indulge in some over priced cheese and cheap red wine.

The perfect picnic:
-Coles brand Sun dried tomato dip (It’s delicious and only $2)
-Red rock deli beetroot, balsamic, feta and cashew dip (10/10)
-Crackers (Marvel toasts if you’re feeling fancy)
-Smoked salmon (A must)
-Salami (Hungarian)
-Brie (Double Cream)
-Wine! (Riverside Landing cab merlot – If you haven’t heard of it, its $4 a bottle and goes down a treat!)
-Fruit (Grapes, figs, strawberries etc.)
-Nut mix (sugar coated cashews for a sweet treat)
Where to picnic:
-Sunshine Coast hinterland, Montville/Maleny – It’s got some seriously good views, perfect at sunset!
-Your backyard – Extend you picnic with a bbq and fire!
-Brisbane, New Farm park – A beautiful rose garden park with huge trees to relax under.
-By the beach – Watching the sunset with a picnic is the perfect end to a day.
